- You were chosen as a beneficiary of this scholarship, out of several applicants across the SADC region. How does this make you feel?
- I feel happy to be selected for this scholarship and I am aware that it is a big challenge. But I am ready for it and I am confident that I will achieve the desired outcomes.
- What motivated you to take up studies in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM)?
- It is well known that water is one of the most valuable resources in the world and Angola can be considered one of the richest countries in terms of water sources in Africa. What motivated me to participate in this program is the work that I have been doing for the last seven years in the same study area, which led me to conclude that I need to do more research on the protection of these resources.
- What do you see as some of the greatest challenges being experienced in the IWRM sector, particularly in your home country?
- One of the biggest challenges is the lack of monitoring or availability of information about water resources in Angola.
- When it is all done and dusted, what would you like the impact of your research project to be?
- I would like to propose a criteria for improvement interventions, with possible reduction of financial volumes for expansion of existing systems and enable technical tools to extend the life span and durability of the deployed systems
