Thriving for Sustainability through Applying the Water-Energy-Food Nexus (WEF) Approach Short Course
The SASSCAL Graduate Studies Programme in Integrated Water Resources Management, hosted by the Namibia University of Science and Technology, continues its compelling short course series. This time, the focus is on #SDG2: Ending hunger by 2030.
From 21 to 25 October 2024, industry professionals and students from Southern Africa participated in an engaging three-day course under the theme, "Thriving for #Sustainability through the Water-Energy-Food Nexus Approach."
Dr. Budzanani Tacheba, SASSCAL’s Director of Science, Technology, and Capacity Development, highlighted the course’s strong alignment with SASSCAL’s core pillars: #Research and Capacity Building. By equipping professionals with the skills to address critical #water management challenges, the programme aims to nurture innovation and contribute to global water solutions.
Participants also engaged in important discussions on #food security, exploring key factors such as availability, affordability, quality, environmental sustainability, and health. These conversations were directly tied to the goal of achieving a hunger-free world.
