Writing Retreat Prepares SGSP-IWRM Students for Academic Publishing.

The thirteen (13) SGSP-IWRM students participated in a two-day Writing Retreat to enhance their academic writing skills and prepare for their publishing journey. Many are finalising their research projects and are on track to graduate in 2025.

The retreat, held on October 14-15, 2024, was facilitated by esteemed experts:

• Prof. Ditiro B. Moalafhi, SGSP-IWRM Research Chair in Water Resources Quantity and Availability

• Prof. Omotayo Awofolu, Director of the SGSP-IWRM programme

• Prof. Dr. Fritz Schmuhl, Executive Publisher at Springer Nature’s Mathematics, Physical and Applied Sciences Division

This enriching experience equipped students with the tools they need to tackle complex academic writing and navigate the publishing landscape.
